AIMM Therapeutics BV is an Amsterdam based biotech company that develops human monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer. AIMM was established twelve years ago on the belief that scientists could harness the power of specific immune cells to develop clinically relevant antibody therapies while avoiding the inefficiencies inherent to other techniques. Today this proprietary platform technology is well validated as evidenced by the two AIMM antibodies now in human clinical trials and the deep pipeline that AIMM is currently advancing in cancer.

We have an opportunity for highly motivated and talented Research Associate to strengthen our in vivo team. The successful candidates will perform and analyze early stage preclinical research with mice. The candidate will employ a wide range of techniques including tissue culture, flow cytometry and ELISA. The candidate will routinely use state-of-the art equipment to validate AIMM’s novel therapeutic antibodies for treatment of cancer.

A HBO degree in animal experiment, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field. Applicants should have a license to perform animal research (Dutch art13f2b or European equivalent corresponding to function A). Applicants should have proven expertise with performing experiment with mice (handling, injection via different routes, sample collection and necropsy) and a proven ability to independently design, execute and interpret experiments. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to successfully operate in teams are essential.

The appointment with AIMM Therapeutics BV will initially be for 12 months with future prospects for a permanent position, depending on the progress made within the project and on developments within the company. Salary is commensurate with position and experience.
